"Overall it was fine, would have liked a mini bar, and some Earl grey tea in the bedroom. But the hotel felt like it needed a decent refurb. And a more competent staff."

"A pleasant hotel, we chose it for its convenient location. Money has obviously been spent on decoration and furnishings, but the miniscule room (Classed as de luxe) was a serious minus point. Had we been staying more than one night, we would not have accepted that room (110) Breakfast was adequate but not exciting. The staff were courteous but not enthusiastic. The bar is lacking in atmosphere. Overall, we considered the hotel overpriced for what it provides. £130 for a pokey room and breakfast is not good value."

"I asked for a non-smoking room - but the room not only smelt smoky but had ashtrays and smoke was evident from adjoining rooms and corridor areas."
