"The room in which I stayed needed total refurbishment. The wallpaper was ripped off around the window frame and the furniture was very scratched and shabby. Bed comfortable but the duvet covers on both beds were torn. The evening meal was probably one of the best meals I have had in a hotel. The staff were very friendly and appeared well trained. My only complaint is the room. I did book a non smoking room but the one I was given smelt very strongly of cigarettes and had the inevitable ash tray! Such a pity - surely even a smoker deserves better than this. Well done to the Chef."
